Blue skies, red sunsets

Duuuude, plasma lamps/balls are so freakin' awesome. I kindasortareally want one for my room. "Aww too bad you couldn't get geek points!"

JO's sucked pretty badly. It was my first time competing in a 50 meter pool though, and you don't quite realize how incredibly and annoyingly LONG it is until you are actually racing in one. In the 100 back, I gained almost 4 seconds off my PR and ran into the wall for my finish. It was quite disappointing to say the least, but oh well... just another experience to learn from, right?

My brother has a 102 fever. Whenever he is sick, the house is eerily quiet; it doesn't feel very normal. I feel like shit when he looks so helpless. And he eats a whole lot less then normal, which is the absolute worst cause he barely eats anything when he isn't sick. What a poor little boy.

So except for the occassional misstep, blow to ego, low point, confusion, etc... life is good :)

Junk food

So Junior Olympics is tomorrow and I'm really scared. I haven't been eating as carefully as I should have. I had an ice cream sundae last night and now I regret it. I don't feel like I'm in really good shape like I was during swim season at MHS. I just feel... normal. Therefore my game plan for tomorrow is just to arrive, warm up, swim, warm down, wait for Gideon and Kelvin to finish, shower, then take a nap during the hour-long ride home... which basically translates to get in, get out, get ahead. 100 back ain't that long anyways. I'll be beyond satisfied if I can reach my PR of 1:04.93 (which seems to be unattainable now), although it was be AWESOME if I drop a few milliseconds. Who knows, I haven't swam at a long course meet in months.

The US History test at Deanza wasn't too horrible. Easier than I thought, but still hard nonetheless. Thank god I had Jonathan, Kevin, and Tram taking it with me. Without that major cram session, I wouldn't have been able to answer a lot of the stupid questions. Sorry Kevin for accidentally-on-purpose dropping your phone. And Tram, those macbook pictures seriously made me laugh so hard that I cried, haha.

I try to use my wishes veeeery carefully. There is a bigger picture. Don't you think it's silly to wish for a short term desire?

I can only go so far

Duck duck goose (F*** f*** shoes), Elbow Tag, and Australian Pursuit are greeeat games. Even the hell set was kinda fun today :) Practice has been more playing and less swimming, which I kinda have mixed feelings on. I wanna be perfectly in shape for Junior Olympics and I only have one week to do so, but if our coaches won't let us concentrate on SWIMMING, I don't know how I possibly can get ready by then. I need a coach to push me to my limits until I hate (or should I say "strongly dislike") them... but in reality, I won't hate them for long if I improve and get better times. I'm not supposed to enjoy practice like this! I'm supposed to be sore on a daily basis.

I guess all that complaining was "counterintuitive," as my physics teacher would say. But hey, no pain, no gain.
