Miles and miles to go

Notice the new playlist? These 2 songs have really reached out to me because the lyrics are quite uplifting. I love listening to what a song is trying to say, sometimes more so than I like the beat of the song. I think I am in a mood for music today, time to get downloadin'!

My fellow sophomores, we have 2.5 more jam-packed years before JUDGMENT DAY (a.k.a. college admissions notices). As a reminder, here is a stanza from one of my favorite poems:
"The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep."
-- by Robert Frost, Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening
(This is not the first time I read this poem but when I read it again today, it made a whole lot more sense. Like it says, the journey will be long and disappointing but don't sleep just yet! Haha)

Jamba Juice (I get to use my free smoothie card!) and then off to the new Milpitas Library for the first time. Another chem project... with a group that barely does anything. I miss my old lab partner, Dorkatron!

Crab crab crab!

Winter rally was today and so was the N'sync dance. 1st rally went well but the 2nd rally!! Ohmygosh... music started skipping so we all got off beat. Quite embarrassing. I was super nervous right before we were about to dance (I could have sworn my heart was beating at the speed of that Tahitian song!) but I was surprisingly calm and happy during the dance. I think I kinda understand that natural high you get in front of crowds. Screamed so hard during roll call (3 roll calls per rally = 6 times of screaming your heart out!) that I felt very much lightheaded. Tried to sleep during lunch, barely made it through 5th and 6th.

Volunteering at the crab feed was fun (even though I had totally forgotten about it until last night, so I had to cancel plans that I had made with someone, sorry again...) Free crab, chocolate (oreo) cake, and cheese squares. Woohoo! The crab was the best. Someone even asked me to Junior Prom but I said no thanks. (I think he was kidding!?) Kevin was there and he is totally mean to me but what would I do without him? <3 Planned to walk to Jamba Juice afterwards but instead, went home and ate s'more of that addicting crab goodness.

This morning, my Starbucks barista said he had a brain fart when he couldn't remember how to spell Caroline. I always giggle when people say brain fart, teehee. Brain fart, brain fart, brain fart :D

Today is the 5th day of the new year (Chuwu, or Powu) which means more dumplings! Dumplings and crab in one night, just beautiful.

OH YEAH! So I am talking to Tram on AIM right now and she reminded me how she ran into a pole today. IT HAPPENED EXACTLY HOW YOU WOULD IMAGINE IT! She was talking blahblahblah then BAM! :D Like usual, Tram made my day and made me a whole lot less nervous for the rally<333

Semester 1

"Oh well, what can I say... Different strokes for different folks." That's what Ms. Mellera said today when commenting on how often Raul leaves his desk to visit Eddie. LOL!

Finally my semester 1 grades are out! :D I am happy happy happy (ecstatic, even) but I can't help but be a little worried about next time. I had to work pretty damn hard for these grades, so how much harder do I have to work this semester!? The work load only gets more and more difficult.
