A tidbit

Today, I found out that my great-grandfather (my dad's mother's father) was a General in the Chinese Nationalist Party and fought against the Communists. After that, he became Minister of Finance and then Governor of Szechuan province. He played both sides until he was jailed and executed by the Communists. His house (that my grandmother and her 13 brothers and sisters lived in) is now the official Szechuan library. So while my grandmother came from a fabulously wealthy family, my grandfather was dirt poor... kinda like Noah and Ali in The Notebook, which I saw last night with the girls ;)

And also today, my mom was trying to say that something was in the spur-of-the-moment, and instead she said "it's a sperm moment thing," which reminds me of how my brother said "Bacon Dexlu" when trying to order a Bacon Deluxe and how my dad said "Rockeweiler" and "Rotfeller" when trying to give me a lesson on John D. Rockefeller's Standard Oil and the fierceness of Rottweiler dogs.
